Eugenics Agenda Behind the Advancement Toward Male Contraceptive Pill

By Susanne Posel

Eugenicists have successfully developed a “birth-control pill” for men. Calling the drug JQ1, this chemical cocktail stunts sperm production in mice.

According to a newly published study , researchers are calling this discovery an “efficacious strategy for a male contraceptive.”

By blocking the proteins essential for sperm production and drastically lowering sperm counts, JQ1 is now being slated for human trials.

JQ1 is a molecule that is so small it can travel through blood barriers and impede the male body’s ability to produce sperm. While trials in mice showed that they became infertile, their sexual drive was not affected.

Dr. Martin Matzuk , professor of molecular biology, molecular and human genetics, and pharmacology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), maintains that: “If you stop the drug, there’s complete reversibility.”

The BCM has a long history of working to expanding the eugenics agenda with the use of genetic technologies; including collaboration with the German Nazis and their march toward using genetics to create a “better human race”.

By looking for “justice as fairness” with the ethical practice of genetics and eugenics concerning applied science and social constructs.

The advantage of eugenics ideology in genetic technology is viewed as “the greatest benefit of individuals with the least advantages.” And so by subverting the fact of eugenics in genetic advances will alleviate prejudice and make sure that the eugenics agenda is devoid of negative perceptions so that the genetically disadvantaged could be touted as the beneficiaries of eugenic applications in genetic technologies.

Dr. James E. Bradner, a researcher at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, says that JQ1 can also be used to treat cancer. JQ1 binds to genes connected with proteins that necessitate fertility. Bradner says:

“This compound produces a rapid and reversible decrease in sperm count and motility with profound effects on fertility.”

Matzuk discovered the molecule Bradner needed to continue with experiments into causing male infertility.

According to the study, “Our findings demonstrate that, when given to rodents, this compound produces a rapid and reversible decrease in sperm count and mobility with profound effect on fertility.”

In May, researchers at the MRC Centre for Reproductive Health at the University of Edinburgh uncovered the gene Katnal1 which can render men “voluntarily” infertile.

This eugenics-based endeavor was based on altering the genetic code of mice to uncover which mutations would cause infertility.

Like JQ1, Katnal1 uses proteins essential to sperm production and inhibits their ability to produce quality sperm.

The MRC is a corporation based out of the UK which is governed by executives that control scientific research through oversight and encourage findings of the MRC be applied in the public scientific industry.

The University of Edinburgh is where the study to locate the gene to render men infertile was conducted. They are a supporter of the Centre for Population Change (CPC).

The CPC is a small independent research group that focuses on “fertility and family formation” and the socio-implications of population on communities in the UK. This “research group” is simply a front for modern-day Eugenics studies.

Scientists Closer to Birth Control Pill for Men

Aug. 17, 2012

Scientists may be one step closer to a birth control pill for men.

A drug dubbed JQ1 swiftly stunted sperm production in male mice, a new study found. And like the female birth control pill, its fertility-fighting effects on were completely reversible.

“We have only observed full recovery of fertility in treated males,” the researchers from Baylor College of Medicine wrote in their study, published today in the journal Cell. “We envision that our discoveries can be completely translated to men, providing a novel and efficacious strategy for a male contraceptive.”

JQ1 blocks a protein essential for sperm production in the testes. If the drug is proven to be safe and effective in humans, it could expand the prophylactic pool — an exciting prospect at a time when over a third of U.S. pregnancies are unintended.

New Medical Ethics: Designer Genes For Your Baby, and ‘after-birth’ Abortions

I can’t escape the incredible irony that humanity is descending into a new Dark Age even as we technologically advance at the most rapid rate in the history of our species.

However, we have apparently permitted a technocratic elite without a shred of morality and a warped sense of ethics to dictate our evolution … once again.

A Telegraph article entitled, “Genetically engineering ‘ethical’ babies is a moral obligation, says Oxford professor” cites the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Ethics, Julian Savulescu, as advocating the arrival of genetic cleansing for those who might have a propensity toward “personality flaws.” And, furthermore, that this cleansing is a sign of good parenting and a strong concern for society.

Now, I’m sorry to issue an ad hominem attack right out of the gate, but since Savulescu introduces the subject of genetic evaluation, this guy’s family tree goes back to Romania (perhaps central – think Transylvania) – home to such distinguished rulers as Vlad the Impaler, Vlad’s descendant Prince Charles, and power-mad collectivist, Nicolae Ceauşescu. I’m not saying there is a direct genetic connection between this esteemed academic and brutal psychopaths, but perhaps we should encourage Savulescu to study himself first and foremost … just to be sure.

Anyway, we often like to say in the alternative media, “You can’t make this stuff up.” Well, someone has, and they are intruding upon our otherwise potentially sane reality.

The Journal of Medical Ethics has now set itself head and shoulders above the rest as the most Orwellian-named collective of openly bragging social engineers to which the medical profession has thusly given voice.

The first outlandish story that emerged was immediately lambasted even by some readers of alternative media for being a hoax, until it was fully documented to have come from the Journal’s own website: “after-birth abortions” up until the age of three. Because, after all, infants aren’t people, so experts must be right to pose the question, ‘Why should the baby live?

Study authors Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva, both from the University of Melbourne, state in their paper that ‘after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled.’ They go on to say that while it is infanticide, they prefer not to call it that. Instead, they prefer the term ‘after-birth abortion’ — a term that avoids the true labeling of the proposed technique.

Authors of the paper write that simply being a human isn’t something that grants ‘a right to life’.  It appears the paper authors believe that they are the ones who are to determine whether or not a human can live or die. Under this train of thought, then these ‘after-birth’ abortions are not limited to infants. (Source)

This line of thinking is echoed by Savulescu, who uses the inherent concern of parents to offer their children the best of what life has to offer as a reason for them to pre-determine what type of life has value, and which does not.

So where genetic selection aims to bring out a trait that clearly benefits an individual and society, we should allow parents the choice.

To do otherwise is to consign those who come after us to the ball and chain of our squeamishness and irrationality.

Indeed, when it comes to screening out personality flaws, such as potential alcoholism, psychopathy and disposition to violence, you could argue that people have a moral obligation to select ethically better children.

They are, after all, less likely to harm themselves and others. (Reader’s Digest)

Magic Molecule – JQ1 – Readies Male Birth Control Pill for Testing Early 2013

James Bradner of Harvard’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute may have stumbled upon the magic molecule for the male birth control pill.

Though actually searching for an anti-cancer drug, Bradner inadvertently found that the molecule, JQ1, inhibited a protein in the testes vital to male fertility. JQ1 can pass through the blood stream and into the testes, meaning it can be delivered via a pill, injection, or even topical solution.

Molecule JQ1 Helping to Push for the the New Male Birth Control Pill

Bradner and Martin Mtzuk published their study in the journal Cell, writing, “In male studies, JQ1 accomplishes a complete and reversible contraceptive effect in males without adversely affecting testosterone levels or mating behaviors and without promoting obvious [birth defects] in offspring.” They report that the only known side effect is weight loss.

Meanwhile, women since the 1960s have dealt with a laundry list of side effects from the pill, which gives us an idea of what we can expect from the male birth control pill:

    • Increased risk of breast and cervical cancers
    • Increased risk of blood clotting, heart attack, and stroke
  • Migraines
  • Gall bladder disease
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Weight gain
  • Mood changes
  • Nausea
  • Irregular bleeding or spotting
  • Benign tumors
  • Breast tenderness
  • Yeast overgrowth and infection
  • Depletion of essential nutrients like vitamin B

Admittedly, for many women the freedom of birth control and the relief of having a regular period far outweigh the side effects, real or perceived. On the other hand, holistic practitioners report that irregular periods can be symptoms of deeper, more serious problems which the pill can not and does not address. That condition may in fact worsen over time due to being ignored because the pill has eliminated the symptom.

Men may not have periods to worry about, but precaution must be used when reaching for any new pill. We hope that human studies for men adequately reveal long-term effects of what could be a disastrous molecule.

“As early as next year, we may have a sense of how well this works in humans,” Bradner says, adding that his team plans to aggressively pursue their original plans for a cancer drug.

Genetically engineering ‘ethical’ babies is a moral obligation, says Oxford professor

Richard Alleyne
Telegraph.co.uk
August 16, 2012

Professor Julian Savulescu said that creating so-called designer babies could be considered a “moral obligation” as it makes them grow up into “ethically better children”.

The expert in practical ethics said that we should actively give parents the choice to screen out personality flaws in their children as it meant they were then less likely to “harm themselves and others”.

The academic, who is also editor-in-chief of the Journal of Medical Ethics, made his comments in an article in the latest edition of Reader’s Digest.

Scientist Predicts Eugenic Society in 5 Years: Gene Tests to Determine Lover’s Compatibility

It seems we may be heading into a new era of eugenics, and in the future, instead of choosing to settle with partners we love, we may be choosing them based on the compatibility of our genes, a leading scientist has warned.

Professor Armand Leroi, of Imperial College London, predicts that the ever declining cost of DNA testing means that we may be heading toward a society that is based on genetic superiority.

Leroi told the Euroscience Open Forum 2012, in Dublin, that he expects that in five to 10 years, it will become standard practice for young people to pay to access their entire genetic code, according to The Telegraph.

Naturally, the future generation’s desire to have a healthy baby will then lead them to request access to view the genetic blueprint of any prospective long-term partner.

He told researchers attending the major science conference in Dublin that with the information, future couples could then use IVF to weed out offspring with incurable disease.

Male contraceptive pill ‘step closer’ after mice studies

Sperm approaching egg

By James Gallagher Health and science reporter, BBC News

Scientists believe they are a step closer in the difficult journey towards developing a male contraceptive pill, after successful studies in mice.

A contraceptive pill for women has been around for decades, but an equivalent for men has proved elusive.

A US study, published in the journal Cell, showed a drug could make mice temporarily infertile without hampering their sex drive.

Experts said the findings were “exciting”, but needed tests in people.

It has been argued that the lack of a male contraceptive pill has contributed to the number of unplanned pregnancies.

One of the challenges is developing a drug which can cross over from the blood into the testes.

US researchers at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Baylor College of Medicine were testing a drug called JQ1. It targets a protein which exists only in the testes and is critical for sperm production.
