The No on 37 campaign trying to prevent Californians from knowing whether or not the foods they eat contain genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) has sunk to a new moral and ethical low, having recently forged a quote from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in supposed opposition to the labeling law.
“The US Food and Drug Administration says a labeling policy like Prop 37 would be ‘inherently misleading.’”
The FDA never actually issued such a statement, of course, as the law prohibits the agency from taking an official position on the matter. But for its own malicious purposes, the No on 37 campaign decided to affix both the quote and the FDA seal on its campaign propaganda in an attempt to sway public opinion against the measure.
Since knowingly falsifying quotes and counterfeiting logos for campaign purposes directly violates Section 506 of the U.S. Criminal Code, Right to Know has notified the U.S Department of Justice (DOJ) via letter that No on 37 has flagrantly violated the law.
In the letter, Right to Know explains that No on 37 disseminated a direct mail piece containing the fraudulent quote, which was apparently parsed from an unrelated and out of context statement the FDA made more than 20 years ago. It adds that the mailer violates not only Section 506 but also Section 1017 of the U.S. Criminal Code.
You can read the full Right to Know letter to DOJ here: http://www.carighttoknow.org/deptofjusticeBeyond simply forging an FDA quote, the No on 37campaign also apparently submitted a fraudulent “Rebuttal to Argument in Favor of Proposition 37″ that was published in the official California voter guide.
According to Right to Know, a certain Dr. Henry I. Miller, who is identified solely as “Founding Director, Office of Biotechnology of the Food & Drug Administration” in the guide, does not actually work for the FDA in any capacity. Thus, his listing in the guide blatantly violates U.S. Criminal Code 912, which prohibits individuals from assuming or pretending to be federal employees.
None of this is surprising since the primary forces fueling the No on 37 campaign include Monsanto and various other biotechnology and chemical giants with a sordid history of lies and deceit. Even so, these companies and their front campaign still need to be held criminally responsible for violating the law in an attempt to illegally thwart an election.

GM Wheat May Permanently Alter Human Genome, Spark Early Death
Experts say that the GM wheat currently in development by an Australian governmental research agency could, if ingested, shut down certain genes, leading to premature death or risk thereof to multiple generations.
The GM wheat developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) using public funds is engineered to turn off genes permanently. The organization’s intent to turn off wheat genes, however, could affect human and animal genes.
“Through ingestion, these molecules can enter human beings and potentially silence our genes,” says Professor Jack Heinemann of the University of Canterbury’s Centre for Integrated Research in Biosafety. His report was published in Digital Journal.
Moreover, Heinemann describes the double stranded RNA (dsRNAs) present in GM wheat as “remarkably stable in the environment.” It is able to withstand digestion (even after cooking) and thereafter circulates through the body, where it amplifies into more and different dsRNAs and “alters gene expression in the animal.” These altered genes are passed to later generations, assuming the consumer doesn’t die of cancer or liver damage before procreating – seen in the recent GMO french study.
Agribusiness has gone to great lengths to silence skeptics of GMOs The Food and Drug Administration—which abounds in ties to agribusiness—deleted 1 million signatures for a GMO labeling campaign. Monsanto has been burning millions of dollars to campaign against GMO labeling. Depending on the poll, about 93% of Americans advocate GMO labeling.

Are Biotech GMO Corporations Plotting to Steal the Election on Proposition 37?
By Mike Adams
October 26, 2012
I’m hearing grumblings through the grapevine that an effort may be underway to steal the election against Proposition 37.
So far, these are just rumors, but knowing how these evil corporations trying to defeat the ballot measure really operate, there is NOTHING they won’t do to protect their dirty little (agricultural) secrets.Including stealing the election.
Stealing elections is only really possible in close elections, but that’s exactly where Proposition 37 is right now.
It’s just barely ahead in the polls: 44% to 42%, with the remainder undecided or neutral. This means Prop 37 is well within the “stealing” range.
How do you steal an election? Use electronic voting machines, of course. And then hack the crap out of them until the numbers come out the way you want.
That’s how most clinical trials are conducted, of course, so fudging the numbers is nothing new to the kind of evil corporations that dominate the GMO hellscape.
Electronic voting is a total fraud
Electronic voting machines are being rolled out all across California right now.
These machines, as we’ve seen in past elections, are full of bugs and backdoors that allow your vote to be altered at will by whoever owns or influences the voting machine engineers. There is no paper trail, so your electronic vote goes into a vast black hole where it is easily and invisibly altered.
The entire purpose of using electronic voting machines is, of course, to eliminate accurate vote tracking of any kind, thereby allowing elections to be manipulated at will. And if you think evil globalist corporations wouldn’t stoop to this kind of behavior, think again:
The “No on 37″ campaign has already been caught violating federal law by fabricating fictitious FDA quotesand mailing them out to California voters.
Truthfully, knowing what really goes on behind the scenes, I wouldn’t put it past these people to engage in vote fraud, death threats, extortion, bribery or whatever it takes to defeat Proposition 37.
This is the way they routinely conduct business, folks. We are talking about the most evil cabal of demonic, destructive corporations on the planet. Absolutely nothing is out of bounds for them. Think Al Capone… criminal mafia… death threats and professional hackers. That only scratches the surface!
After all, the very products they sell — GMOs, pesticides, Agent Orange — are nothing short of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Stealing an election doesn’t even rank at any level worth noting in their dark, smoky rooms where global domination schemes are hatched and plotted through the use of every evil tactic that has ever been invented.
How you can help prevent Proposition 37 vote fraud
Stealing elections is only possible when the vote results are close, so the best way to ensure evil forces don’t steal the outcome on Proposition 37 is to help us achieve a wide margin of victory at the polls.
This means spreading the word on GMOs and Proposition 37. Visit the YES on 37 website, watch the videos, donate funds and share knowledge with your family and friends.
Check out the new music video We Have the Right to Know about GMO, featuring top celebrities and health experts, all commenting on GMOs and singing the song, too. (I contributed background vocals to this song, in case you were curious.)
If you know someone who is into healthy living, honest food and grassroots activism, make sure they get to the polls in California and vote! And make sure they vote YES on 37!
A grassroots victory is within reach
In fact, I personally think the way Californians vote on Prop 37 is far more important than the way they vote for President. Because both Romney and Obama are pro-GMO sellouts who are in bed with big business. Only the People are truly anti-GMO, and that’s why this ballot measure is such an important expression of people power!
Your vote on Proposition 37 is more important than ever! With the biotech criminals running a steady stream of LIES on television, all funded by Monsanto, Dow, Bayer, DuPont and all the other usual suspects, they are managing to trick or confuse a large number of California voters who know nothing about food labeling or GMOs. We’ve got to fight back with sheer numbers!
Together, we can win this vote for food freedom and honest food. It’s the home stretch, folks, and every bit of your effort, donations, activism and good will is needed right now.
We are facing off against a terrible, destructive monster, and we are in a position where we can sever its head on November 6th and put an end to its rampage of death and destruction.
We must take every opportunity available to achieve victory right now, because another such opportunity may not come along for years.
Spread the word: Vote YES on 37 if you live in California. Defeat GMOs now, at the ballot box, and help overwhelm any attempt by malicious forces to steal the election results via black box voting.

India May Ban GMO Crop Field Trials for 10 Years
Oct 22, 2012
It has been a devastating month for Monsanto as nations around the globe continue to enact bans and restraints on the company’s genetically modified crop varieties. India, the same country that hit Monsanto with ‘biopiracy’ charges for patenting life on the planet, is the latest nation to take a stand.
The nation’s new expert committee appointed by the Supreme Court of India is now callingupon the Indian government to enact a 10 year ban on all GMO crop field trials for the next 10 years.
The new law would forbid any biotech agencies from testing their latest GMO crops on India’s soil, therefore preventing the serious issue of contamination and environmental damage. Contamination that is much more than an unlikely but problematic scenario. Monsanto has been caught in the past contaminating even organic seed varieties, and has gone as far as to plant their experimental crops before the USDA allowed them to. Thankfully, the organic farmers were able to catch the contamination before it spread.
If the contamination was not caught, however, it could have gone anywhere and compromised the very genetic integrity of non-GMO farming grounds. It is for this reason that many companies outside of the United States generally dislike purchasing from U.S. farmers, as they sometimes contain even trace levels of GMO contaminants. More and more we receive reports of farmers being completely cut off from other nations after being found to contain trace levels of GMO contamination.
India is looking to stop this before it becomes much of an issue. At least the expert panel is. Known as the Technical Expert Committee, said that the trials should be stopped immediately until an independent committee made up of experts and stakeholders took a closer look at the serious risks associated with the use of herbicide resistant crops. More specifically, the committee was concerned about their real sustainability. After all, Monsanto’s GMOs are consistently becoming more resistant to chemical herbicides, pesticides, and insecticides.
It has even led a panel of expert scientists to call upon the EPA to take action, fearing that resistant bugs known as rootworms will soon ruin the GMO corn industry as a whole.
Whether or not India will adhere to the recommendations of this committee is not yet known, but other nations certainly have listened to their own panels and experts over the past few weeks. India may soon join the ranks of Russia, Poland, France, Hungary, and Peru in taking a direct stand against Monsanto and GMOs as a whole.

Side effects of GMOs – Ask your doctor if CANCER is right for you
Tuesday, October 16, 2012 by: S. D. Wells
(NaturalNews) If I sprayed your salad with some “RAID” roach killer right now, just a little bit right on the lettuce and maybe a little more on the tomatoes, would you still eat it all, and just assume your body will simply filter out those “small amounts” of toxins? Better yet, what if I paid for it, a nice big, tasty, “bug killer” salad that you could even take outside and no bugs would bother you at all, would you eat it? How about this: If I sprayed a quick shot of some Raid ant killer into your orange juice or your apple juice right in front of you, would you drink it, especially if you’d save 25 cents on every drink you drank from now on? What if most vegetables, fruits, and fruit juice drinks were sold that way, and cheaper than the “Non-Raid” food, would you still buy them? Wouldn’t that pay off for you in the long run? I guess not, because you’re not stupid, are you?
What if the NUMBER ONE SIDE EFFECT of your medication was CANCER, would you still take it, just to temporarily make that headache go away, or maybe to make a little muscle ache disappear for a few hours? GMO means food and medicine are genetically modified, with bacteria and sometimes with viruses, or with weed killer, worm killer, bug killer and people killer. “Pesticide food” is well planned out and has been for decades. Let’s look at history for proof.
Pesticide food timeline
1940 – Hitler uses odorless gas created by the pharmaceutical conglomerate I.G. Farben (Monsanto, Hoescht, BASF and Bayer) to gas to death millions of Jews in WWII atrocity at Auschwitz and other concentration camps. (http://www.naturalnews.com)
1950s – Hitler’s scientists and “deadly gas” creators are sentenced for their war crimes of enslavement and murder. The scientists somehow only get put in prison for four to seven years for mass murder, and when they get out of jail, the U.S. government and major pharmaceutical firms hire them to work on food chemicals and pesticides for American farmlands (The “birth” of GMO). (http://frank.mtsu.edu/~baustin/trials3.html)
1960s – United States uses Agent Orange (created by Monsanto and Dow Chemical) to burn down the thick forestry of Vietnam, but millions of Vietnamese families get cancer from it, and tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers come home with cancer, most to die from it in less than a decade. (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Monsanto)
1980 – Aspartame, a genetically modified sugar substitute, banned for decades, was pushed through the system/legislation by Donald Rumsfeld and Ronald Reagan, who fired the head of the FDA and put in place their own partner in crime, right from the first day Reagan took office (http://rense.com/general33/legal.htm). This toxification of millions of innocent Americans auspiciously timed for the “weight loss” craze phase of the 1980s. Rumsfeld just happened to be the CEO of Searle Pharmaceutical, and Searle profited in the billions. So much for “insider trading” laws and “conflicts of interest.” The U.S. government was blatantly breeding cancer and selling it as food.
1990s – Reign of the biotech “Big Agriculture” and pharmaceutical giants: Monsanto, Dow, Dupont, Hoescht, BASF, and Bayer (German mass murdering scientists and their disciples) continue intense work on the real GMO “frankenfoods” that are most popular in the United States: cancer-causing corn and cancer-causing soy, both resistant to the pesticide ingredients used in Vietnam. (http://www.naturalnews.com/036484_Bayer_Nazi_war_crimes.html)
2001 – George W. Bush and his conspiring vice president, Dick Cheney, under advisement from Donald Rumsfeld, subsidize CORN AND SOY in the U.S., helping Monsanto Corporation basically enslave U.S. farmers with seed, equipment, and pesticide “deals” where they are legally bound to use toxic RoundUp pesticide on RoundUp Ready crops, the ones that contain pesticide in the seeds.
1940-2012 – No U.S. legislation restricting pesticides in food. The most evil biotech companies are allowed to “police themselves.” The government sets no limits on the amount of RoundUp contained in corn and soy, nor how much can be sprayed on them as well. No FDA regulations for GMO infant food, including GM pesticide in infant formulas. “Biotech” becomes the fancy umbrella name for PESTICIDE FOOD MANUFACTURERS.
September, 2012 – French scientists conclude FIRST EVER long-term study of GMO on rats; extensive research PROVING GMO CORN causes horrific tumors in rats, killing 70 percent of females early, long before their average two-year life expectancy.
October, 2012 – Europe-wide ban on Monsanto GM corn imminent in wake of French study linking it to cancer. Russia also bans all GM corn imports. (http://www.naturalnews.com/037328_Russia_GMO_Monsanto.html)
October 2012 – Monsanto, Dow Chemical, Dupont, Bayer, Dean Foods (the dairy giant), General Mills, Kellogg’s and Smucker are fighting to keep GMO foods UNLABELED so cancer can be perpetuated! Insurance companies invest in FAST FOOD industry, thus banking on more people getting cancer. (http://abcnews.go.com)
To make matters worse, several “organic” food companies sell out to the GM owned corporate elite. (http://www.naturalnews.com/036834_Kashi_Larabar_boycott.html)
2013 and beyond: No end in sight: Most VACCINES AND FLU SHOTS contain GMO ingredients. Chemotherapy (AKA “agent orange”) is pushed on the masses as a viable treatment for people who have been steadily consuming pesticide, fluoride, bleach, aspartame, MSG and GMO.
Americans Consume Nearly 200 Pounds of GMOs Each Year
By Lisa Garber
October 19, 2012
This article was contributed by NaturalSociety
We know that the vast majority of corn, soybeans, and much of many other crops are genetically modified, but do we know how the how much GMOs are consumed each year?
Actually, yes. Average Americans today eat about 193 pounds of genetically modified foods over 12 months—and that’s an underestimate, according to the Environmental Working Group.
EWG analyzed data from 2011 provided by the US Department of Agriculture to investigate how much GMOs Americans were eating annually.
Four foods—sugar beets, corn syrup, soybean oil, and corn-based products—were selected for calculation, with 95 percent of sugar beets, 93 percent of soybeans, and 88 percent of corn grown in the US being some of the top genetically modified foods.
They found that the average American adult, weighing 179 pounds, consumes 68 pounds of beet sugar, 58 pounds of corn syrup, 38 pounds of soybean oil, and 29 pounds of corn-based products each year.
This means the average American eats more than his or her body weight in GMOs annually—likely more than that.
GMOs can be found aplenty in the average grocery store (and even Whole Foods, despite marketing claims).
EWG did not include in their study the myriad other GM foods we eat every year; here are some GMO foods to add to your GMO foods list.
- Yellow squash
- Sugar cane
Neither did EWG include the animals we put on our plates that have been trapped on the equivalent of an economy airplane seat for two years while having GMO candies, sweets, and corn shoveled down their throats. (And no wonder factory farmers are happy to feed corn to their naturally ruminant cows—it makes them gain more weight!)
Children and Hispanic Americans at Greater risk
Research by EWG also indicates that children—who are increasingly experiencing obesity—are at greater risk of consuming more GMOs because of their superior sugar intake.
It’s a small wonder if you know that children, who spend an average of seven hours in front of a screen daily, are exposed to more than 15,000 ads each year involving candies and snacks.
Hispanic Americans, too, are at risk because they eat between two and three times more corn flour than do those of other ethnicities.
GMOs have been under fire for years as harmful for people and the environment.
Numerous studies have implicated it with various conditions, including significant organ disruption (especially of liver and kidneys) and fertility problems.
EWG brings up that these studies are difficult to conduct, especially in America where our own USDA is in bed with Monsanto, because the latter decides who gets to study or test what patented GMO.
With even the New York Times writer Mark Bittman apologizing for not calling out the flaws of the Stanford organic food study sooner, it’s becoming increasingly important for those of us who can to demand that our government allow us to decide for ourselves if we want to eat GMOs.
Tell our government: just label it.
