The US and Israeli-Sponsored Destruction of Syria and Iran Continues

Lakhdar Brahimi, member of the UN Arab League envoy, will speak with the Syrian government. Brahimi stated in Cairo:

I answer to no one except the Syrian people. Syrians aspire to peace, stability and to realizing their goals of freedom and political progress.

Brahimi who is a representative from Mohammed Morsi’s presidential cabinet and member of the Muslim Brotherhood is replacing former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan to broker a deal with Assad.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon verbalized his support for the CIA-sponsored Free Syrian Army; the manufactured terrorist group facilitating a proxy war in Syria on behalf of the US and Israel.

At the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Ki-moon stated that he is “concerned” about the unsubstantiated accounts of Syrian government attacks on citizens. He believes that by purveying the lies and propaganda surrounding this created conflict, that they will be given legitimate review by the UN delegates. Ki-moon said:

All of this complicates our efforts to facilitate a transition and promote the peace the Syrian people deserve. I encourage this council to maintain its vigilance on Syria, including on the question of accountability.

Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State, threatened that the US and “like-mined states” will circumvent the UN’s pursuits of diplomacy in Syria for the sake of forcing a “regime change”. Clinton said that Russia’s lack of support for the US and Israeli schemes in Syria and Iran are unacceptable.

Clinton affirmed that the UN resolutions are ineffective “because we’ve seen time and time again that Assad will ignore it and keep attacking his own people.” Of course, the evidence shows that the Free Syrian Army is instrumental in all the violent attacks against Syrian civilians; however Clinton coercively continues to purvey US-controlled propaganda.

Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister said that “[Russia] won’t support sanctions [against Syria] because they lead to nothing. What Syria needs is all external players use their influence to put all Syrians behind the negotiation table.”

Here in the US Senator John McCain has publicly admonished the Obama administration for not killing more Muslims. According to McCain, the death toll in Libya should be a template for Obama. McCain commented: “The election is about jobs and the economy, but a failed . . . national security policy over time is going to lead to significant domestic problems.”

McCain continued:

It’s the job of presidents and candidates to lead and articulate their vision for America’s role in the world. The world is a more dangerous place than it’s been since the end of the Cold War, and so I think the president should lead and I think candidates for the presidency should lead and talk about it, and I’m disappointed that there hasn’t been more.

As the Syrian conflict becomes a precursor for Iran, a favored target of the Zionist-controlled Israeli government, Guido Westerwelle, the German Foreign Minister has implored the Iranian government to continue international talks concerning their nuclear program. Westerwelle said:

We stand together with Israel which means of course that we share also the concern about the Iranian nuclear program. For us, any kind of nuclear option weapons in the hands of the Iranian government is not acceptable. For us nuclear arms in the hands of the Iranian government are not an optional we will not accept this.

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, retorted that “the Islamic Republic to be nuclear armed is not an option.”

Iran has given the UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) permission (after being pressured) access to inspect the Parchin military facility where there are alleged nuclear weapons. Yukiya Amano, head of the IAEA, believes that Iran owes the UN an explanation for their endeavors to build a nuclear power plant. Amano stated: “Iran has the obligation to fully cooperate with us.”

Netanyahu, without proof, continues to decry Iran is building a nuclear weapon and is gaining support from European allies such as Britain, France and Germany as well as Canada.

Last week, the Canadian government closed their embassy in Iran. John Baird, Canadian Foreign Minister, explained in a statement that Iran is “the most significant threat to global peace and security in the world today”.

Canadian officials warned Canadian citizens not to travel to Iran. Those who have Canadian citizenship with Iranian nationality are using propaganda to claim that the Iranian government will become enraged by “dual nationality”.

The Center for Strategic & International Studies, a Washington DC-based globalist think-tank, has supposed what a US military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities would look like.

US-Backed Terrorists Murder US’ Own Ambassador in Libya

Murdered US Ambassador exposes Libya “progress” propaganda – provides a warning against US meddling in Syria.

Note: With Russia openly accusing the West of using Al Qaeda as their direct, militant proxies in Syria and beyond, this latest attempt to purposefully provoke and incite Muslims across the Arab World is an attempt by the West to reestablish the perception that the US and Israel are at war with sectarian extremists, not partnered with them. The film allegedly at the center of the violence, most likely came from the Neo-Con “Clarion Fund” or a project of similar origin.

“I have met with these brave fighters, and they are not Al-Qaeda. To the contrary: They are Libyan patriots who want to liberate their nation. We should help them do it.” - Senator John McCain in Benghazi, Libya April 22, 2011.

Image: Senator John McCain in the terrorist rat nest of Benghazi after marshaling cash, weapons, and political support for militants tied directly to Al Qaeda. McCain’s insistence that the terrorists he helped arm and install into power were “not Al Qaeda” runs contra to the US Army’s own reports which state that Benghazi’s terror brigades officially merged with Al Qaeda in 2007. McCain’s “Libyan patriots” have now killed US Ambassador Stevens with RPG’s most likely procured with cash and logistic networks set up by NATO last year, part of a supranational terror campaign that includes violently subverting Syria – a campaign McCain also supports.

McCain’s “Libyan patriots” have now murdered US Ambassador John Christopher Stevens in the very city where McCain spoke these words. An assault on the American consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, the epicenter of not only last year’s violent subversion and destruction of sovereign Libya, but a decades-old epicenter of global terrorism, left Ambassador Stevens dead along with two of his aides.

The violence, Western media claims, stems from an anti-Islamic film produced in the United States. In reality, the coordinated nature of the attacks on both the US Embassy in Libya, as well as its embassy in Cairo, Egypt, on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, are most likely using the Neo-Conservative Clarion Fund-esque propaganda film as a false pretense for violence long-planned. The Clarion Fund regularly produces anti-Muslim propaganda, like “Iranium,” specifically to maintain a strategy of tension using fear and anger to drive a wedge between Western civilization and Islam to promote perpetual global wars of profit.

NATO Knowingly Handed Libya to Al Qaeda

Indeed, the US Army’s West Point Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) noted that Benghazi and the neighboring city of Darnah served a disproportionately high role in supplying foreign fighters to wage terror against the people of Iraq and Afghanistan – foot soldiers brought in to fuel a destructive and divisive sectarian war that undermined a united Sunni-Shi’ia resistance to Western troops who had invaded.

Image: In Benghazi, in front of the very courthouse McCain and other representatives of the West’s corporate-financier driven foreign policy voiced support for Libya’s terror brigades, sectarian extremists took the streets waving the flag of Al Qaeda, even hoisting it atop the Benghazi courthouse itself. Despite a concerted effort by Western media houses to portray Libya as in the hands of progressive democratic secularists, the country was intentionally handed over to extremists to serve as a base of militancy to destabilize and destroy targets of Western interest around the word.

The men McCain was defending were Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) militants, terrorists linked directly with Al Qaeda according to West Point reports (.pdf), and listed to this day by the US State Department, the UK Home Office (.pdf), and the UN as a “foreign terrorist organization.” McCain was not only rhetorically supporting listed terrorists, but calling for material support including weapons, funds, training, and air support in direct violation of USC § 2339A & 2339B, “providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations.”

These same terrorists are now not only the defacto rulers of much of Libya, but are leading death squads in Syria and arming militants in Mali, an exponential expansion made possible by a non-partisan effort including Republicans and Democrats, as well as Bush-era Neo-Conservatives who concurrently lead both anti-Islam propaganda while leading calls to arm the most radical sectarian extremist groups, including groups directly affiliated with Al Qaeda.

Syria is Next

Not only has US policy been exposed as not “promoting democracy” but purposefully spreading destabilization, violence, and terrorism, but the exact same militants behind the death of the US’ own ambassador are literally leading US efforts to visit the same violence, destabilization, and chaos upon Syria.

Reuters, in their article, “Libyan fighters join Syrian revolt,” reported, that Mahdi al-Harati, “a powerful militia chief from Libya’s western mountains,” who is actually a militant of the US, British, and UN listed terrorist organization Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), “now leads a unit in Syria, made up mainly of Syrians but also including some foreign fighters, including 20 senior members of his own Libyan rebel unit.” Reuters would go on to explain, “the Libyans aiding the Syrian rebels include specialists in communications, logistics, humanitarian issues and heavy weapons,” and that they “operate training bases, teaching fitness and battlefield tactics.”

Image: Libyan Mahdi al-Harati of the US State Department, United Nations, and the UK Home Office (page 5, .pdf)-listed terrorist organization, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), addressing fellow terrorists in Syria. Harati is now commanding a Libyan brigade operating inside of Syria attempting to destroy the Syrian government and subjugate the Syrian population. Traditionally, this is known as “foreign invasion.”

Reuters concedes that the ongoing battle has nothing to do with democracy, but instead is purely a sectarian campaign aimed at “pushing out” Syria’s minorities, perceived to be “oppressing” “Sunni Muslims.”

Reuters’ propaganda piece is rounded off with a Libyan terrorist allegedly threatening that “the militancy would spread across the region as long as the West does not do more to hasten the downfall of Assad,” a talking point plucked straight from the halls of America’s corporate-financier funded think-tanks. In fact, just such a think-tank, the Foreign Policy Initiative, recently published a statement signed by Bush-era Neo-Conservatives stating:

America’s national security interests are intertwined with the fate of the Syrian people and the wider region. Indeed, Syria’s escalating conflict now threatens to directly affect the country’s neighbors, including Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Israel, and could provide an opening for terrorist groups like al Qaeda to exploit.

Along with “War on Terror” proponent John McCain, Al Qaeda’s LIFG and America’s Neo-Con establishment are now operating in tandem, as well as in direct contradiction to a decade of “War on Terror” propaganda. It should be remembered that those who signed this statement, including Elliott Abrams, Max Boot, Ellen Bork, William Kristol, Paul Bremer, Paula Dobriansk, Douglas Feith, Robert Kagan, Clifford D. May, Stephen Rademaker, Michael Weiss, Radwan Ziadeh, were among the very engineers of the fraudulent “War on Terror” that McCain himself is such a fervent supporter of. Radwan Ziadeh, last on the list, is in fact a “Syrian National Council” member – one of several proxies the US State Department is hoping to slip into power in Syria.

Russia, China, Iran, and Others Oppose Terrorism in Syria for a Reason

With Libya’s “democratic progress” exposed as only tenuously covering up NATO’s creation of a nation-wide safe haven for Al Qaeda terrorists to subsequently be deployed against the West’s political enemies across he Arab World and beyond, it will be even more difficult, if not impossible to continue promoting this same “change” in Syria. Libya, through direct action of NATO, has been overrun by terrorists. Syria’s government is desperately trying to prevent its people from being likewise overrun.

And even as the US buries its own ambassador, killed by terror brigades it itself armed and thrust into power through covert and direct military intervention, in a nation now wrecked by sectarian and tribal infighting, it insists on replicating its “success” in Syria.

Russia, China, Iran, and a growing number of nations have been opposing this campaign of supranational terrorism – with the death of Ambassador Stevens laying bare the true nature of America’s proxy “freedom fighters,” the list of global opposition will only grow, leaving only the most shameless and deeply invested to defend America’s invasive and bloody foreign policy.

Ben Swann Asks Obama ‘Why Is The U.S. Supporting Al Qaeda In Syria?’

‘Foreign Islamists seek to turn Syria into Sharia state’

RT

Syrian rebels prepare for an offensive against government forces in the northern city of Aleppo.(AFP Photo / Achilleas Zavallis)Around half of the rebel fighters in Syria are foreign Islamists who aren’t interested in toppling the Assad regime. Instead, they’re seeking to implement Sharia law throughout the country, according to a prominent French doctor.

The co-founder of the medical charity Doctors Without Borders, Jacques Beres, discovered some interesting information while treating Syrian rebels in the besieged city of Aleppo.

According to Beres, 60 per cent of his patients during his two week service in Syria were rebels– and about half of those were foreign. He says the fighters aren’t focused on the fall of the Assad regime. Instead, they have their eyes on a different kind of prize – implementing Sharia law throughout the country.

“It’s really something strange to see. They are directly saying that they aren’t interested in Bashar Assad’s fall, but are thinking about how to take power afterward and set up an Islamic state with Sharia law to become part of the world Emirate,” the French doctor told Reuters.

The foreign jihadists include Frenchmen who believe they are waging a “holy war,” claiming they’re inspired by Mohammed Merah, an Islamist militant from the French city of Toulouse. Merah killed seven people in March, in the name of Al-Qaeda.

“Some of [the patients] were French and completely fanatical about the future,”
he said. “They are very cautious people, even to the doctor who treated them. They didn’t trust me, but for instance they told me that Mohammed Merah was an example to follow,” Beres said.

The Syrian government has consistently maintained that the uprising against Assad is being orchestrated from outside the country and is the work of “foreign-backed terrorists.”

It’s a claim that Beres denied until his recent two-week stint in Aleppo.

Beres spoke of treating rebel fighters from other Arab countries as well, but says his list of patients included at least two Frenchmen.

But the list of nationalities continues to grow – jihadist fighters from Britain have joined the fight as well.

The inflow of foreign fighters has even worried some Syrian rebels, who have accused them of being “too extreme.”

As the uprising enters its 18th month, the home countries of foreign rebels are worried, too.

Paris has expressed concern in recent years that French radical Islamists who have traveled to lawless zones would return to plot terrorist attacks at home. This was the case for Mohammed Merah, who traveled to Afghanistan and Pakistan before organizing the Toulouse shooting.

Clinton: Deep differences with Russia on Syria

CBS News

In this Sept. 8, 2012 photo, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, right, talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the arrival ceremony for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Vladivostok, Russia. (AP Photo/Jim Watson, Pool)VLADIVOSTOK, Russia — U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Sunday acknowledged deep differences with Russia over how to handle the crisis in Syria, saying she would continue to try to convince Moscow to back increased international pressure on Syrian President Bashar Assad even if such a step is unlikely.

A day after Russia soundly rejected her call for U.N. sanctions to be imposed on Syria if Assad refuses to stop fighting and relinquish power, Clinton said she was “realistic” in her approach. She said that if the Russians refused to go along the United States and its friends would boost their support for the Syrian opposition.

“The United States disagrees with the approach on Syria,” she told reporters at a news conference at the end of the annual Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum summit where she was filling in for President Barack Obama. “We have to bring more pressure to bear on the Assad regime to end the bloodshed and begin a political, democratic transition.”

The Obama administration has been hoping to jack up pressure on Assad at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly session and potentially introduce a new U.N. Security Council resolution that would include sanctions. Russia and China have blocked three previous similar resolutions because they could lead to sanctions.

In discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Clinton said she had underscored the resolution “will only be effective if it includes consequences for non-compliance.”

“There is no point in passing a resolution with no teeth because we have seen time and time again that Assad will ignore it and keep attacking his own people,” she said.

But, she allowed that convincing the Russians would be a tough, if not impossible sell.

“We have to be realistic,” she said. “We haven’t seen eye-to-eye with Russia on Syria.”

“That may continue, and if it does continue, then we will work with like-minded states to support the Syrian opposition to hasten the day when Assad falls and to help prepare Syria for a democratic future and help it get back on its feet again,” she said.

After meeting Clinton on Saturday, Lavrov said bluntly Russia opposes penalties against the Assad government, in addition to new ones against Iran over its nuclear program, in part because they harm Russian commercial interests.

“Our American partners have a prevailing tendency to threaten and increase pressure, adopt ever more sanctions against Syria and against Iran,” Lavrov said. “Russia is fundamentally against this, since for resolving problems you have to engage the countries you are having issues with and not isolate them.”

Unilateral U.S. sanctions against Syria and Iran increasingly take on an extraterritorial character, directly affecting the interests of Russian business, in particular banks, he said.

“We clearly stated that this was unacceptable, and they listened to us. What the result will be, I don’t know,” Lavrov said.

Clinton had told Lavrov that the Security Council needs to do more to send “a strong message” to Assad, given the escalating level of violence in Syria, said a senior U.S. official, adding that the council risks “abrogating its responsibility” if it fails to act. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the conversation was private.

Clinton says UN resolution on Syria needs ‘teeth’

(AFP) – 3 days ago

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia — US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Sunday a new UN resolution on Syria would be pointless if it had “no teeth”, as President Bashar al-Assad would ignore it.

On a visit to Russia, Clinton said she was willing to work with Moscow on a new UN resolution on Syria but warned that the United States would step up support to end Assad’s regime if the measure did not carry consequences.

“There is no point to passing a resolution with no teeth because we’ve seen time and time again that Assad will ignore it and keep attacking his own people,” Clinton told reporters at the end of an Asia-Pacific summit.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Saturday after talks with Clinton that he hoped to seek UN Security Council approval for a peace plan agreed in June in Geneva that called for a ceasefire and political transition.

“I will continue to work with Foreign Minister Lavrov to see if we can revisit the idea of putting the Syrian transition plan that we agreed to in Geneva earlier this summer into a Security Council resolution,” Clinton said.

“But as I underscored yesterday with Foreign Minister Lavrov, that will only be effective if it includes consequences for non-compliance.”

Clinton said she hoped for progress but was “realistic” that the United States and Russia had differences on Syria.

If those differences persist, “then we will work with like-minded states to support a Syrian opposition to hasten the day when Assad falls and to help prepare Syria for a democratic future and help it get back on its feet”, she said.

The United States has said it is providing non-lethal assistance to the opposition in Syria, which has been a Moscow ally since the Cold War.

French Doctor Confirms Syrian Rebels Are Foreign Terrorists

Reuters

Foreign Islamists intent on turning Syria into an autocratic theocracy have swollen the ranks of rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad and think they are waging a “holy war”, a French surgeon who treated fighters in Aleppo has said.

Jacques Beres, co-founder of medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres, returned from Syria on Friday evening after spending two weeks working clandestinely in a hospital in the besieged northern Syrian city.

[...]“It’s really something strange to see. They are directly saying that they aren’t interested in Bashar al-Assad’s fall, but are thinking about how to take power afterwards and set up an Islamic state with sharia law to become part of the world Emirate,” the doctor said.

[...]Assad himself has consistently maintained that the 17-month-old insurgency against him is largely the work of people he refers to as “foreign-backed terrorists” and says his forces are acting to restore stability.
